About Us

About_Continental

▶ Continental was founded by Tony Lin in Taipei City in 1968. It is a textile chemicals professional agent; our main businesses are to act for the leading dyes and auxiliaries manufacturers in the world and to provide the finest materials and exceptional after-sales service to enhance the production efficiency and capacity for our clients. The company's missions are to find the world's most innovative technology and sharing the benefits with clients as our long-term goal.

▶ At the initiating period, the company imported textile dyeing, finished auxiliaries and dyes from a Japanese firm, Sanyu Trading In 1970, acting for one of the major UK dye companies, L. B. Holliday & Co, imported acidic, salt, and disperse dyes. After that, the company was reorganized as Holliday Dyes & Chemicals and merged with James Robinson, the well-known curing and dyeing firm.

In 1972, acting for the world's largest enzyme manufacturer, NOVO Industry A/S, afterward was subsequently reorganized as Novo Nordisk A/S. The company set up R & D center and Asian marketing headquarters in China. Novo Nordisk was renamed Novozymes due to the expansion of the textile department.

▶ In the same year in 1972, we represented the famous German textile printing and dyeing auxiliary factory, Rudolf & Co. GMBH. The main production involving green products, fluorine-free water repellent and silver ion antibacterial agent, were leading innovation products in the industry.

In 1976, we acted for the British Allied Colloids Ltd, manufactured dyes and finished auxiliaries. In 1998, the company was acquired by Switzerland firm, Ciba Specialty Chemicals Ltd. In 2006, Ciba resold the textile and chemical department to a US company, Huntsman. The company is also a founding member of the European Bluesign. We have continued to act for its textile printing department.

In 1978, we represented the UK firm, James Robinson Ltd; afterward, it merged with Holliday Dye & Chemicals Ltd in 2001. It was still our partner and willing to share information and the technology of printing and dyes with us.

▶ In 1989, we acted for Indonesian firm, P.T. Polkrik Chemicals Co. The quality of disperse and reactive dyes was as superior as the goods produced by American and European firms.

After 2000, the environmental awareness has gradually risen in the society; we then introduced the following advanced environmental protection process;

In 2003, we introduced the laser machine of the Spanish firm, Jeanologia.
Jeanologia is the winner of the fourth Spanish inventor's award and is known as the best innovator of that year. It is the first company to introduce laser, ozone and spray soft technology for jeans production process. The R&D focused on water and energy conservation and the reduction of chemical use.

In 2012, we introduced the Italian MS printing solutions machine. Our company combined Huntsman’s pretreatment auxiliaries, digital printing inks and post-processing aids with MS printing solutions machine. The full range of service of providing information, pharmaceuticals and machines was a major pioneer in the industry.

▶ In 2013, we dev eloped the supercritical Co2 anhydrous dye with Colourtex, an Indian dye company, and supplied it to Dyecoo, a Dutch firm, used in its’ supercritical dyeing machine; the waterless production process was superior to the majority in the industry.

▶ Our main products are disperse and reactive dyes while acid dyes are auxiliary. In the view of the growing trend of the nylon fiber industry, the company has been actively researching and developing new products to provide satisfactory service to clients in response to the new market. As for auxiliary products; the enzyme, green products and synthetic printing pastes have been praised for the high quality in the industry.

▶ The company has well-trained professionals and the capability of providing technical support to clients in order to solve any difficulties. We have branches in Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam, engaged in similar trade operations and could also provide convenient local services.
